Use Google Analytics' Date Range Selector to View Trends in Your Site Traffic

We love using Google Analytics to keep tabs on web traffic and other site statistics. It’s full of useful information, and it’s free! It provides a number of ways to customize your data, including a date selector so you can set specific dates to view trends over time.

See what your data looks like over time. It only takes a minute, and can clue you in on trends over time (so it’s particularly helpful for understanding how your traffic patterns shift from month-to-month or year-to-year).

Log into your Google Analytics account, and you will see a date range in the top right corner with dates automatically populated. This little box gives you all you need to control the dates for your Analytics.

A word of advice -- selecting a range of dates can be a little quirky. Pay attention to which date box is highlighted (it will be blue for your initial date range, or orange for your comparison date range) when choosing, so you know if you are selecting your start date, end date, or one of your comparison dates.
