Display Your Phone Number on Your Website

While online shopping has boomed over the past few years, there are still many people that are not comfortable transmitting their information to make purchases online, regardless of how secure a site maybe. These people will often browse your site and see what you have to offer, but are not likely to complete the online transaction.

Appeal to these people by displaying your phone number and any other relevant customer service information clearly on your site. Many sites include the phone number and address in the footer of every page. Simply having the number displayed tells some customers that you are accessible and eager to help them.

Look through your website and see how easily it is to find your phone number. Try this on a computer, as well as a smartphone. Make sure that your phone number is displayed as text on your site (as opposed to being an image). This way, users on a smartphone can tap the number, and the phone will automatically ask if you wish to dial it (this will not work with an image).
