Turn Off Your Blog If It Is Out of Date

If you have not found the time to post to your blog recently, we suggest that you turn off or hide your blog rather than disappoint your site visitors with out-of-date content. Having a blog brings with it the expectation from your readers that you will be doing somewhat frequent posts and include current information. If your blog is a skeleton of outdated posts, you will be leaving a bad impression of your business.

In place of a blog, you might want to add a simple article section to your website. You may want to draw some of the content of your articles from the best of your blog posts, while keeping in mind that you want information that is relevant in the long-term.

Having a vibrant and active blog can be a great asset for your online business. But if your best intentions to start a blog succumbed to the realities of the time required to keep it going, turning off the blog can be the best course of action. This will allow you to focus your marketing attention on other ways to connect with your customers.
