Keep Your Facebook Followers Engaged
Surveys show that a significant percentage of people who interact with businesses on Facebook do so because they hope to get deals or special offers. Keep that in mind as you plan your Facebook campaigns.
One food cart vendor we know posts a scrambled song title once a week on Facebook, and the first person to comment with the correct song title gets a free lunch. As you might imagine, this keeps people pretty well engaged with his Facebook page! That might not be right for you, but people on Facebook really do seem to enjoy things like games, trivia, videos, quizzes, and other content that relates to Facebook itself.
Your profile page is the place for interaction. Call customers to action for signing up for email lists, subscribing to your blog, or just "liking" the page. Run a promotion with a Facebook specific promo code and track the effectiveness of your campaign. Create engaging, interesting, sharable content, because the more you appear in your followers' news feeds, the more they will interact with you.
There’s no "right" number for how often you should post, but four or five times a day may be too much, and less than every other day may be too little. This really depends on you and your business, so experiment. Decide what you can offer people as premiums and then do it consistently - and have fun with it!
