Make Sure Your Marketing and Technology Team Members are Communicating Together
One of the best pieces of advice we can give to a small business owner is to make sure that all members of your team are communicating with each other and making maximum use of each others' knowledge and resources.
As an Ecommerce platform provider, we work with many small business owners who utilize outside marketing firms for paid advertising or search engine optimization. More often than not, we have no contact with these marketing firms. This is a lost opportunity for the business owner, as we can often provide direction on utilizing our system for conversion tracking or marketing implementations that would be much harder or impossible to accomplish without a little direction. We see much money wasted and many poor implementations that could have been easily avoided.
If you own a website, think of yourself as a general contractor. You likely need to coordinate the efforts of several members of your team. By facilitating good communication among team members, you will be taking a big step toward ensuring your success.
