Happy Autumn!

If you live in our neck of the woods, the college football prospects are looking a little bleak this year. We hope your team is doing a little better... or that you are focusing your fall pleasures on the brisk morning air and beautiful foliage.

We have an exciting announcement about Paypal Express Checkout this month as well as some introductions to the newest members of the HEROweb team. Please read on to learn more.

New Feature: Paypal Express Checkout

Our big announcement this month is the roll-out of Paypal Express Checkout. While we have always allowed for Paypal payments on our sites, the new method is much more streamlined for shoppers and easier to track for site owners. If you are on MightyMerchant v5.1, the set up steps are quite simple.

Check out Setting Up PayPal Express Checkout on our support site to see what it takes to get going.

Tech Tip: Assigning an Item to Multiple Categories

One capability that has always been part of MightyMerchant, but not always well-understood, is the ability to place items in multiple categories. Please read Assigning Items to Multiple Categories to see the correct and easiest methods for placing your items on your site.

New Team Members: Welcome, Greg Myers and Ty Skelton

Greg Myers, our newest Web Developer and Support Specialist, has been on the job for less than three weeks and already seems like a veteran. If you have already worked with Greg, you have undoubtedly experienced that his knowledge and customer service are top-notch.

Ty Skelton joined our staff just this week as our Software Development Intern. Ty will be working on some important programming projects related to the MightyMerchant platform.

To learn more about these two dynamic individuals, you can visit our Meet the Team page.

Pop vs. Imap: What you Need to Know

With the increase usage of smartphones, many customers need to check their email from a variety of devices. Managing email becomes a little more challenging when taking the multi-access approach.

The correct solution for many users is to use IMAP when you set up your email client on each device. Many users currently have their email client set to POP instead of IMAP.

We have prepared a document to explain the difference between POP and IMAP and why you would consider one over the other. Have a look at POP vs. IMAP: Which Should You Choose.

New Sites and Mobile Redesigns

We have been working very hard over the past month, it is amazing that we only have one new site to announce. Well, just be ready for next month!

This month we feature a full re-design of http://www.bellpineartfarm.com

One really cool feature of this site is our new "Suggested Wholesale Collections" feature. This feature allows the site owner to pre-configure suggested groups of items for customers. When the customers log into their wholesale accounts, they can easily order any collection.
