Happy August, everyone! We hope you have had a fun and relaxing summer. With the sun shining down on us it’s hard to imagine the cold-weather holidays just a few months away, but it’s already time to plan your holiday marketing strategy. In this month’s SiteBeat we provide you with a guide for planning a successful holiday season. We also announce important updates to our domain registration policy, demonstrate MightyMerchant’s faceted search feature in a quick video, and provide you with an updated link to our cloud computing article. Thanks for reading SiteBeat!

Gear up for the Holiday Season with HEROweb’s Holiday eCommerce Guide

Though the holidays still seem distant, now is the time to prepare your business for the biggest shopping months of the year. Think ahead to which back-to-school and holiday promotions you would like to emphasize.

HEROweb has written many articles about preparing your eCommerce site for the holiday season, and we have collected these articles into our Holiday eCommerce Guide. Check out our guide for important dates and advice for a successful, stress-free holiday season.

MightyMerchant Feature of the Month: Faceted Search

MightyMerchant offers a powerful faceted search feature that allows shoppers to filter product search results based on multiple attributes. This feature enhances the shopping experience for large product catalogs with well-defined attributes. We created a short video demonstrating MightyMerchant’s faceted search feature so that you can see it in action. If you are interested in implementing faceted search on your website, please contact us.

Cloud Computing

Last month we shared a link to our article on cloud computing. Unfortunately, the link was broken! We have fixed it for this month and encourage you to check out the article. The term cloud computing is thrown around so much, but what exactly is cloud computing? This Q and A should answer your questions.

Updates to eNom Domain Registration Services

eNom, the service HEROweb uses to register domains for customers, has updated its pricing and policies. They have increased domain registration fees for certain domain types. However, HEROweb has decided to absorb the cost of the increased fees and keep its domain pricing the same for all customers. ENom has also updated its policies regarding how domain registrars must notify clients of domain expirations. To read the full policy change visit our website.
